🎯 Long-Term Vision of the Block Panchayat
🌾 Production Sector & Employment Development
With priority given to the production sector, the Block Panchayat intends to formulate and implement comprehensive and integrated employment-oriented programmes in the areas of agricultural development, local economic development, and small-scale industrial enterprises. It also aims to make effective use of the opportunities available under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme to implement watershed-based development programmes effectively. The plan will also provide opportunities for various programmes aimed at poverty alleviation.
👩👧👦 Women’s Development & Social Welfare
The plan will enable effective interventions in the areas of women’s development, welfare of senior citizens and persons with disabilities, and child welfare. It will also facilitate the expansion of coordinated activities of self-help groups.
🏘️ Scheduled Caste Welfare & Basic Infrastructure
The plan gives significant importance to the protection and development of Scheduled Caste colonies and to ensuring sanitation, water availability, and other physical infrastructure facilities. The Dairy Farmer Support Scheme will provide relief to farmers during the challenges faced in this sector.
🏥 Health & Sanitation
A significant transformation in the health and sanitation sector is envisaged. With the support of NRHM, the development of the FHC will provide opportunities for model healthcare initiatives. A master plan for the comprehensive development of Puthenvelikkara Taluk Hospital will be prepared and submitted to the Government.
